In a feeble effort to describe the violence in France, CNN anchor Carol Lin (and Asian-American) described the youths that were killed and sparked the riots as...African-Americans.  Despite the fact that they were Tunisi-Franco.  Oh my...

Download the video and watch it...again...if it weren't so pathetically funny, it would be infuritating.

CNN in their efforts to hire news anchor "persons" who represent a "fair" balance of the Worlds peoples like the BBC apparently don't see at least some grounding in basic Worldly knowledge as a prerequisite to getting the job in the first place.
Look at the BBC World line up, all the old hard headed newsmen have thought "fuck this I'm off".

All you have to do to get a job like that is...look pretty...and be able to read large type from 3 meters away. Any questions that you are required to ask will be sent to your ear via someone behind the camera.
