Or, at least as conservative as a frenchman gets...
"First, the primacy of work; second, the need to compensate personal merit and effort; third, respect for the rules, and for authority; fourth, the belief that democracy does not mean weakness; fifth, values; sixth, . . . I'm persuaded that, before sharing, you have to create wealth. I don't like egalitarianism."This is from a great expose on Nicolas Sarkozy, The Man Who Would Be Le President, in the Weekly Standard. A must read...
This guy Sarkozy is a little different from Chirac and the rest of the cheese eating surrender monkeys. He has in the past stood up to the Islamist fanatics, I wish the UK had an MP with the courage to do that, trouble is New Labor need the Muslim vote or they're out on their arses come the next election.
Blue collar are getting sick and tired of the incumbent bunch of tossers, what I would term as "normal" working men are looking for alternatives and would even go as far as voting for the BNP.

The same thing happening in the USA with the lefties and the democrat party. The Dem's need to decide if they are just Green's in a donkey's clothing.
