Why blogs matter

On Thursday, Michelle had this extensive post/investigation regarding the sale of port control to a Dubai based company...

The government's Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States has approved a deal that will put six major ports in the United States under the control of a state-sponsored company based in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

Michelle links to several media outlets discussing the issue, but the major focus of outcry in the media was the non-issue of Cheney not sending a press release out in a prompt fashion following his hunting accident.

Today, there are several outlets beginning to pick up on the story...

Once again...I like Dubya...voted for him.  But, there are some definite head-scratching policy moves that just baffle me.  Pumping millions of dollars into New Orleans...and then allowing a foreign state that funds the very people that are trying to destroy us...well, I'm tired of paying for corrupt governments survival (NOLA and Dubai!!).
