Got this email from Stevo this morning...
Good reason why you should never run with me.
I was about ten minutes out from home, heading toward a local college which has some good trails and no traffic within its campus. I just headed down a road when I looked over at the sidewalk and there's a guy hanging from an overhead awning; noose around his neck, step ladder at the side, dead as he could be.
I don't know how long he'd been there. I guess, all night. Anyway I saw a guy on a motorbike delivering newspapers so I flagged him down. He had a mobile phone so he calls the cops, etc.
Thing was it was raining and a little cold so I didn't want to stay around and risk catching a cold as I need to stay healthy (can't run the risk of illness with our cancer patient around), I just said thanks to the guy on the bike and hit the road.
Nice start to the day huh?
Suicides in Asia are not uncommon...people off themselves for all matter of reason. But, it sure would be nice if they would do it in the privacy of their home, so no one has to stumble across them on the morning run.
