When I saw that McClellan quit his post yesterday, that was not that big of a deal. Clinton went through how many press secretaries in his time? Bush has only had two...which is pretty good.
But, Michelle has the buzz about Tony Snow as a possible replacement. Snow would certainly add a certain class and tact to the job that few have had in the past...
That appointment would only be surpassed by the appointment of Brit Hume in the role...
"Sure, I'm a conservative, no doubt about it," Hume says. "But I would ask people to look at the work." He does not accuse his fellow journalists of pursuing a partisan agenda, saying their bias is "unconscious."
All I know is Bush has some serious problems getting his message across to people. Initially, I think most people thought it was just him. He has a hard time speaking in public and he doesn't come across that great. But, it seems deeper than that. A mistrust of the press (hmmm...wonder why?) which seems to have manifested itself into the White House giving the Heisman to any and all comers.
A guy like Snow could possibly help him considerably...especially as someone who can think quickly on his feet and is used to taking questions (phone callers) and giving the answers quickly.
How about Johnny Damon?
