There are many jobs that everyone would like to have...and there are many we wouldn't. But, there is a job that I don't think I would want, but I think I am qualified for. You know what I mean...the guy that types in all the information on the screen for games on TV.
I have no idea what this job is about...all I know, this person is charged with writing, usually, no more the 6 words in succession. Often times, they are names of people, which are clearly printed in the teams program or roster page. Frankly, I don't find that all that difficult, do you?
After viewing a few Vancouver Canuck hockey games, from various televised sources, mind you (I don't want to look like I am picking on only one guy here, but, it all could be one guy), I present this catalog of screen shots to help document some of the more blatant offenses.
Please, check the program. Sorry, Kevin...Hockey Day in Canada, no less. What's worse is, the commentators spent half the game confused as well.
But, this one just...takes the cake...
I am certain I could do this job. I know how to spell Markus. And I especially know how to spell Markus just 10 minutes after I have spelled it correctly when he scored a goal! AND, the fact that this is THE guy on your team AND that this telecast was from the teams own PPV broadcast! I could DO this job, I know I could.
Finally, this one is sort of off subject, but I just think there is something wrong with advertising these two products side by side in a hockey rink. It's just wrong!
Or, maybe I should say those THREE products. Maybe I could be their on ice marketing consultant as well.

But then...it isn't as bad as this!!
