Linden has now sat out eight games this season. Vigneault said he believes Linden is a better player when he is fresh and added that the team feels it has an obligation to give some of its younger prospects like Brown a look at the NHL level.
I'm a little torn on the Linden issue. I thought he played well last night against the Hawks. Even in a PK role. I understand that Viggy wants to give some of the young guys some playing time. But at the same time, I haven't been all that impressed with Cowan, and thought that Linden would have been better inserted in the lineup than the Brabarian.
