Well, this week was a little rougher on the kids. Due to another event going on with the American School, the teams saw a massive drainage of players from their squads. Expat son's team had 5 players show up on Saturday. The great thing about these games though, is the ability to grab other kids from other teams and help fill out the rosters.
As a result, Expat Son ended up playing three full games back to back to back. With the sun shining and temperatures around 30C, it was quite an accomplishment for he and his teammates.
Expat son's team dropped the first game they played 5-3 with the thin roster. Their best goalie from their team was not there, so they suffered a bit on the back end. Expat son then played for Barcelona in the 2nd match, which was easily won. In the third match, back to his own team, they played a see-saw affair, but their team came out on top...I think the final score was 4-3. Again, they were helped by picking up the goalie from the Barcelona team they played with earlier.
I was again very pleased with the performance of my camera...although the sunshine made for difficult shadows to deal with on certain areas of the pitch, many photos were very crisp in focus and color. Enjoy...
Up to 1,200 people showed up Thursday at a public clinic that had between 400 and 500 doses of vaccine against the H1N1 "swine" flu. More have rushed to call their doctor, only to hear that new shipments of vaccine aren't expected for weeks.
